So the big city gets hit with a snow storm. First thought, it is baby’s first snow. Your thought, how do I push fit my stroller in this mountain of plowed snow and slippery icy sidewalks? No worries mom, we have Strollercized for this. “Ice hills” in Strollercize class and now ice sidewalks in the streets of NYC after a large snow storm.
First, get out those hiking boots. You need good grip to stabilize your stance. These boots should be water-proof. The corners of the city streets will be filled with mounds of snow or big lakes of slush and water. It will be very difficult to cross the street without a boat. Do not get frustrated, just go with the “snow”. But here is the real danger of snow in the city for a mom pushing fit with a stroller. You will want to push where the sidewalks have been cleared. How close is that cleared path to the side of the towering building. Above your head are daggers of ice sickles that are slowly melting getting ready drop off and head to the sidewalks below! Stroll away from the buildings. The trees have snow and sickles on them too. But as your fitness instructor, I am aware of all the “scenes of struggle” around us and above us. Keep you chin up mom, turn your head both ways and look up at the pretty ice sickles and know that wearing a hard hat is just not your style. Duck daggers while pushing fit on the icy streets of NYC. This will be a new move in Strollercize! See you in class.
