Many times in class a mom will say, “my back hurts, my hips hurt, my knees hurt and my neck too!” This is so common with many moms. First you have not worked out for weeks, some cases months and you may feel as old as I do but ( I actually feel fantastic, cause I maintained working out as a mom 🙂 anyway….aches a pains of a new mom are normal and with proper exercise, regular workouts, good alignment the aches and pains begin to go away or seem less. It takes about four weeks, three classes a week to arrest the aches and pains and build up the bodies strength and flexibility. But, you can have perfect posture, do all the right moves and still there are aches. Before you start freaking out, look at those shoes! How old are they? Did you have them before you were pregnant or during. Well throw them out quick!
“Oh, the phone is ringing, it is one of my Strollercize moms. She is at a sneaker store and calling me to find out what kind of shoes she should buy for her workouts? She must have heard me scream out, go buy new shoes! I think everyone in the class went shoe shopping this weekend and I do not think “stilettos” were on the list?
