A Margarita Moms we made a list of what to have on hand in case of a emergency or in our case here in New York City, Irene is coming. So what do we do.
#1. Be calm
#2 Diapers and Wipies (Wipes are great for quick showers too)
#3. Can goods like spam, soup, protein, carbs.
#4. Fill bathtub for cleaning
#5. Pull water out of that tap and start filling bottles
#6. Chicken Little ….watch what is above you!!!!!!
#7. Make up a fun story about Mr. Windy…so the noise is just the singing wind 🙂 So children can love a storm and not be afraid. I am still to this day so afraid of lightening that when there is any, I turn into a squirrel and go nuts. My mom forgot to read Mr. Lightening. My children are in Zone A and in New Jersey, they are remembering 911 and The Blackout and Hurricane Gloria and how mommy prepared but tried to make it not about fear!
#8. You better have that canopy over the baby on the stroller or carry the baby in a sling!
#9. I am not keen on umbrellas in this kind of weather due to the tips of the umbrella and it could go into someones eye.
#10. Who do you call if you lose your cell. Can you live without the cell. Try It.
#11. So? Who has the board games and cards.
#12. Oh and who wants a second or third baby?
Mother Nature, respect her and Go with her flow.
